I've brainstormed my way out of a few dilemmas on the roads. And sometimes it is just an escape.-DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4162788546902616669.post-55797897187134547972007-07-03T08:13:00.000-04:002007-07-03T08:13:00.000-04:00I had my running gear on this morning and totally ...I had my running gear on this morning and totally bailed. I just wasn't feeling all that great -- stomach issues -- and since I'm not running with the running store peeps tomorrow, I can run in the a.m. as well as on Thursday and be OK for my long run Saturday, which is only 5 or 6 miles this week.

I feel like such a loser, though, mostly because I'm REALLY stressed and NEEDED that run. ARGH.

Sometimes your body tells you what it wants.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11658214565355312790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4162788546902616669.post-22071650808638545382007-07-02T14:15:00.000-04:002007-07-02T14:15:00.000-04:00Oops. thanks!Oops. thanks!Fritzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13212124356724770687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4162788546902616669.post-77951238449289816552007-07-02T13:05:00.000-04:002007-07-02T13:05:00.000-04:00did you mean catharsis?did you mean catharsis?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4162788546902616669.post-6233167481195934872007-06-30T14:50:00.000-04:002007-06-30T14:50:00.000-04:00I kind of doubt it- over training (for me) typical...I kind of doubt it- over training (for me) typically manifests in a couple of ways, culminating in illness or injury.

My mood over the past few days has six or seven quite concrete, identifiable stresses, some which I can address, others which I can't.

Also, I feel a lot better today after having a night's sleep. Sure, it takes my mind off those issues for a bit, and maybe burns off some of the stress caused by them, but doesn't actually solve the problems. Which are always rudely awaiting me when I get back. Bastards.;-)

Is it possible that it's, at least partially, an overtraining thing?Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01292028011120349433noreply@blogger.com
